When I saw the ScholarshipOwl Feedback Scholarship, I knew I had to apply. I felt strongly that businesses have a responsibility to make content accessible to all people, so I suggested adding more color contrast for those with color deficiencies, creating a text-to-speech option for individuals with learning disabilities, and allowing more customization options. It is through great scholarships like this that I can immerse myself in a double major in Peace & Conflict Studies and Political Science. Ultimately, I want to employ my education to build a grassroots movement advocating for equality, climate action, economic reform, and more. Statistics report that less than 30% of elected officials are women. I want to be a part of a community of progressive women who push forward policies that forge our American society into a diverse, safe, and inclusive world for all individuals. I am proud to be a part of an institution and scholarship community that upholds these values. Thank you for the opportunity!
